About Us

Who are we?

State of Us – a network made for comms professionals, by comms professionals – has been created to unite the industry on mental health, change the conversation and shift behaviour.

Our mission

We want to normalise being honest and vulnerable with each other. Burnout, imposter syndrome and personal mental health challenges – along with all the highs and lows of working in comms – affect us all in different ways.

By sharing and reflecting on our personal stories, we’re starting an open dialogue that will help us better understand each other and start a unified movement for lasting change in the industry; from the individual to the collective. Whether we’re juniors or seniors, clients or agencies, creatives or PR, we’re all human. And we’re stronger when we come together.

Let’s celebrate each and every one of us by truly communicating and making space for vulnerability. This is a rallying call for change that will progress the way we all think and talk about mental health. So, let’s liberate ourselves, reflect and move together.
